About Us
Our Story
Meals on Wheels North Jersey (originally Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels) was founded in June 1972. We started with six clients and some seed money from the Montvale Rotary Club. Volunteers were hard to find; it seemed like nobody had heard of a program like this! Today we have hundreds of volunteers on 19 routes delivering meals in 31 towns throughout Northern Bergen County.
Funding
We are funded by client donations, Bergen County Division of Senior Services Area Plan Funding that provides our program at no cost to a limited number of Bergen County residents aged 60 and over (based upon specific eligibility criteria,) private donors and private grants. Tax ID #22-2340025
Non-Discrimination Policy
Meals on Wheels North Jersey supports and promotes diverse and inclusive communities, and does not discriminate based on age, color, creed, gender, gender identity, mental or physical disability, national origin, political affiliation, race or sexual orientation in its provision of services or employment practices.
We deliver more than just a hot meal. Watch this video to learn more about our service to Northern Bergen County seniors.
